Hello. I'm Beth Carroll. Welcome to New Hampshire Outlook. In this program we feature three businesses "Making It in New Hampshire." We begin with Toss 'n Sauce, a pizzeria in Brentwood. 19-year-old UNH student Marc Venhaus met Joe Ka-NAN three years ago while working at another pizza shop. They joked about one day owning their own -- and in July 2005 they made it happen. Outlook photojournalist Steve Giordani takes us to the Brentwood pizzeria to meet the co-owners and find out how Venhaus balances a business with a full-time course load. |

Kevin Cambridge has turned making pasta by hand into a successful business. He started by selling his pasta primarily to restaurants to make a living. But, now 16 years later Terra Cotta Pasta Company has two retail shops and hopes to expand even more. In this Making It in New Hampshire report, Cambridge shares his story of his Dover-based business with Outlook Photojournalist Steve Giordani. |

Cheryl Kumiski is an award-winning glass artisan who has been at her craft for nearly 30 years. At her studio she makes stained glass, while honing her skill at her most recent pursuit, glass jewelry making. In this Making it in New Hampshire story, Outlook Photojournalist Steve Giordani takes us to Kumiski's Rochester studio where she shows him the delicate process of working with multi-color glass. |
